St. Nathy’s v St. Mary’s Charlestown
On Thursday the 14th, the St.Nathy’s junior girls set out with high expectations to a match against St.Mary’s Charlestown.
The St.Nathy’s girls were first out on the pitch, keen to burst into warm up mode. The match began and the ball was won by Charlestown, but quickly won back by St.Nathy’s girls in green. Megan McCormack quickly popped one point over the bar.
During the next few minutes things escalated for the girls in green as Megan McCormack scored another point with further points from Nollaig O’Dowd, Katie and Lauren Gallagher. Second half began and St.Mary’s once again won the ball a few minutes in and things were looking up for the Charlestown girls as they scored another two goals.
However our very own Caoifhionn McDermott got another point for the girls in green.
It was tense in the end with only two points in it but unfortunately St.Nathy’s were unable to finish it and the final score was, 4 – 5 to St.Mary’s and 1 -12 to St.Nathy’s.
What a match!
